Your Provincial Constituency

Calgary-Currie is made up of the inner city communities of Bankview, Richmond/Knob Hill, Killarney/Glengarry, Glendale/Glendale Meadows, South Calgary (Garrison Woods, Altadore, Marda Loop, River Park), Cliff Bungalow/ Mission, and Mount Royal. It is named after the historic Canadian Forces Currie Barracks that were located on the west side of Crowchild Trail. Many buildings and artifacts from that time remain scattered around the constituency.

"Community is about caring about what happens to others and knowing there are people who care about you. It's about feeling safe when you go out for a walk, and feeling secure in letting your children out to play. Community allows us to leave this world a better place than we found it by combining our efforts through strength in numbers."
- Dave Taylor, Maiden Speech in the Alberta Legislature, March 9, 2005
